A post doctoral position is available in the Division of Biological Sciences, Microbial Ecology Program at The University of Montana for a motivated individual with training in microbial ecology/physiology and molecular biology.  The successful applicant will participate in an NSF Microbial Observatory project focusing on freshwater functional diversity linking molecular data to novel culturing approaches in a pristine shallow aquifer on the border of Galcier National Park. Candidates must have a Ph.D with demonstrated experience in molecular techniques, microbial ecology and/or microbial physiology.
