I have worked primarily on seabirds in New Brunswick, Canada and the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands, and am interested in the interactions between energetics, hormones, and behavior. My current interests are directed towards albatross nesting in the Hawaiian islands. These seabirds fast while raising their young; how do glucocorticoids regulate energetics vs. behavior under these conditions?
